For more years than anyone can remember, Post 1029 has been the organizing force behind the Annual Village of Island Park Memorial Day Parade. Sponsored by the Village, this community event kicks off the Memorial Day weekend festivities. Both solemn and festive at the same time, the Parade and Ceremonies commemorate the sacrifice and service of our brave men and women in uniform who have given up their civilian pursuits throughout our history to preserve our liberty and who are currently on the front lines of the fight against terrorism around the world.
